Il massimo delle performance nel campo dello storage! DiskMaster NASG501 è il NAS a doppia baia (per hard disk Sata I/II) per condividere documenti, file musicali e video sia su LAN gigabit sia tramite Internet. Grazie al server FTP vi i può accedere sia da postazione locale che da Internet, configurando a seconda delle necessità gruppi o account con differenti livelli di permessi.
Il client BitTorrent integrato consente il download da Internet anche a PC spento, mentre il server iTunes, una volta attivato, permette al NAS di essere riconosciuto dal software installato sul PC, rendendo possibile la ricerca e la lettura di musica dal dispositivo. Le porte USB 2.0, consentono la condivisione in rete di una stampante.
La configurazione dei due dischi, inseribili nel NAS semplicemente aprendo il pratico sportellino anteriore, può avvenire in modalità RAID1 (anche in caso di rottura di uno dei due hard disk nessun dato viene perso), RAID0 (permette un transfer rate sino a 280Mb/s in lettura e 220Mb/s in scrittura) e JBOD (le capacità dei dischi si sommano).
